Kika

“Kika Group” owns over 10 different brands and websites. The challenge for Digitouch! was creating these websites, integrating them into a unified system, and providing ongoing maintenance. Scroll down to find out what “integrating into a unified system” really means.

Connecting websites into a unified ecosystem

As a long-established company, Kika Group operates numerous businesses, making website development a time-consuming challenge. Digitouch! built a system that significantly accelerates the creation of new websites. All sites share the same architecture and reusable components, while data publishing is automated from a single, centralized database. Content translation into up to 7 languages is also automated using the most cost-effective translation models. As a result, launching and updating websites is no longer a standalone project, but an efficient extension of an integrated ecosystem.

Currently, the number of new Kika Group websites is constantly growing. Developing each new site takes significantly less time than starting from scratch. Despite data integration, every website features a unique design and serves different goals—ranging from brand representation and product catalogs to pet services and breeding.

To date, the following websites have been updated:

Unique designs

Even though Kika Group websites share the same WordPress system, each features a unique design. While content editing utilizes the same block library, the designs are tailored individually for every site. With the help of this built-in page builder, employees can create a unique user experience (UX), with only select elements—such as language selection—repeating across all environments.

E-commerce solution

A portion of the websites features product showcases and clear calls to action. This information is pulled directly from the client’s centralized CRM and translated into 7 languages using the most cost-effective tool on the market. This ensures the content is tailored to different markets and brands, while still allowing top-performing products to be enriched with unique custom content.

Secure and fast

While content is managed via the world’s most popular CMS, WordPress, don’t be fooled—this isn’t just another off-the-shelf template. Leveraging global best practices, we built an exceptionally fast solution powered by Jamstack technology. By moving away from the traditional WordPress architecture, we’ve eliminated the typical security vulnerabilities that constantly plague standard sites.
